Trainers,
be a part of the Trainer's Directory on the MHSA website!
Would
you like for new people moving into our area to have an easy way
to look up where to ride and have their horse in training? How
about facilitating better communication between professionals
and disciplines within our area? If someone came to you and asked
you where to find a trainer who was not in your area of specialty,
what could you refer them to? The MHSA website! Check out the
trainer directory
application on the MHSA web.
Attention
Horse Show Secretaries and Managers
Two
shows may be run simultaneously at the same facility. The shows
may be run by the same organization or by two different organizations,
assuming the cooperation and approval of both. This arrangement
will benefit show management by allowing organizations to share
the facility, insurance, and office expenses. Each show must have
a separate judge. Exhibitors will benefit because they can show
at one facility but be independently judged twice and earn points
for two shows.
The fee for horse show recognition is $50. There is a multiple show
discount for those organizations which have several shows in a series.
The fee for the first show will be $50 but the fee for each additional
show fee will be $40. Show recognition must be requested more than
30 days before the show date. The penalty for late recognition is
$75.
Shows may apply for double point status. Show management will be
able to offer exhibitors the benefit of double points but hire only
one judge. The fee for a double point show will be $100 (the original
$50 fee plus $50 premium).
About
Your Points
To
verify the accuracy of point tabulations you are invited to submit
your list of shows to the point secretary no later than November
15, 2007. The list should include the name of the show, the class(es)
in which you competed, and the results for each class. Award and
ribbon orders are due shortly after the above date so lists not
received by November 15th will not be verified and no changes will
be made to the awards issued.

deadlines can be found on the Events page.
Attention
Horse Show Managers
Show
results must be received by the appropriate point secretary within
10 days after the competition. Failure to file your show results
within that time period will result in a $25.00 fine which must
be paid before your show can be renewed for any subsequent year.
This requirement mirrors the 10 day deadline set by USA Equestrian.
Because of the large number of MHSA recognized shows it has become
increasingly difficult to schedule them. If you intend to keep your
same weekend from year to year it is necessary to reserve your date(s)
prior to January 15. Early registration allows your show to appear
on all newsletters and show lists mailed to members. It also makes
it possible to provide you with mailing labels well in advance of
your competition.
